Not that I need any encouragement. #travel
What I did this summer. Road trippin’ up to Bend and Yakima visiting breweries, beer tasting and camping along the way. Big Sur surf trip. Headed out East up into Canada for a few. A collection of images using various cameras that I needed to finish the rolls on.
I’ve driven over the Golden Gate Bridge hundreds of times and made it over the ridge from Rodeo beach several times when I was lucky enough to work out at Cronkhite. I’ve seen the droves of tourists, cars, tour buses, motorcycles, bicyclists, etc but have never stopped at this particular lookout. I had several film cameras that I was finishing up the rolls on and did some long exposures with (will post soon). I used my little point and shoot and set it for 15” and placed it on a wood post as the light was fading. A sliver of moon shown over the horizon and the air was cool and fragrant. Though the bridge is probably the most photographed in the world, it’s beauty is none the less.
Fall in Vermont is a magical experience. Another week brings the foliage, but the light there is amazing. And the beer is too!
Took a drive down Highway 1 a few weeks ago in search of surf and realized we have our own special way of celebrating the “summer” here in Northern California. Sure the beach might be foggy, but people still make it out to enjoy nature regardless of the weather. Feral cats, tired fisherman, zinka, fog, and a few tourists.
